Early morning power outage caused by car crash

A truck hit a power pole on 73 Avenue in Grande Prairie causing a power outage early Friday Morning.

Grande Prairie RCMP say the truck was travelling South on 100 Street when it hit a power pole. The truck then continued South through several wooden posts on the perimeter of Muskoseepi park before crossing a walking trail and entering the trees on the edge of the valley. The 36-year-old driver of the vehicle was found uninjured.

Due to the crash, several houses were without power until ATCO arrived on the scene.
