In just one month, a new family to Grande Prairie will be given the Centennial Family Award.
The designation is a new one to the city, introduced as part of Grande Prairie’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
It will be given out to a family that has moved to the Swan City since October 2013, and it comes with a year’s membership to Bear Creek Golf Course.
Nominations are being accepted by the Grande Prairie Regional Tourism Association in Centre 2000 until Friday, October 3rd, and the winners will be announced at a reception on the 15th.
It will become an annual award, with each year’s winner’s name placed on a plaque on a Centennial Rock just outside the entrance to the golf club.
