UPDATE: A section of the Highway has opened up following the fatal crash.
A crash south of Peace River has claimed the lives of two people. Two others were injured and taken to hospital.
The crash has closed Highway 2 between Range Roads 252 and 254 west of Berwyn and traffic is being detoured. An RCMP release around 3 a.m. Wednesday said it was expected not to be passable for at least four hours, and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
Mounties remain on the scene and a collision analyst will be doing an investigation. No other information has been released at this time.
