Speed and winter conditions factors in Fox Creek fatal accident

Two people passed away in a head-on collision yesterday morning near Fox Creek.

The crash between a car and a logging truck occurred around 8 a.m. on Highway 947, 15 kilometres south of Highway 43.

The 25 year old driver and 19 year old passenger of the car were killed on impact.

The 56 year old semi driver escaped with only non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP believes speed and winter road conditions were a factor in the incident, and call it a tragic reminder to take caution as we head into the winter season.

No charges have been laid.
