Grande Prairie man charged with Horse Lake First Nation shooting

A Grande Prairie man has been charged in connection with a violent home invasion and shooting on Horse Lake First Nation. A man was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound just after midnight on June 9th.

At the time, Beaverlodge RCMP said three masked suspects had broken into a home and assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene. It was believed to have been a targeted attack.

30 year old Dustin MacAuley has been charged with aggravated assault, break and enter, discharging a firearm with intent, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence. He remains in police custody with his next court appearance set for July 30th.

RCMP say they are still looking for two other suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Beaverlodge detachment or Crime Stoppers.
