Warkentin hosts diplomacy visit to the Peace Region

Peace River MP Chris Warkentin has been busy the last few days showing off his home riding to ambassadors from Paraguay and Lebanon, as well as the High Commissionr of the Bahamas.

Lebanese Ambassador Micheline Abi Samra says she was struck by the friendliness, generosity, and pioneering spirit of those she met while touring the region.

“The second very important impression that I developed was that it’s not only that you want to have an agricultural community or an industrial community to generate jobs, but diversity, education and cultural life takes quite a lot of importance as well.”

Ambassador to the Republic of Paraguay, Manuel Shaerer, says there is much his country could learn from our oil & gas and agricultural production.
