Man suspected in Bezanson, Clairmont break-ins arrested

Grande Prairie RCMP believe they have identified one of two men suspected of a break-in in Bezanson earlier this year. Lefty’s Cafe and the Bezanson General Store were broken into around 5:45 a.m. on May 9th.

At the time, police said two men got into the building by breaking a window and got away with a significant amount of alcohol and tobacco products. A 37-year-old Grande Prairie man has since been arrested and charged with several offences.

He is also believed to be responsible for a break and enter at the Clairmont Inn. He was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant and appeared in court earlier this week.

The second suspect in the Bezanson theft has not yet been identified. He’s described as having brown hair and was wearing a black sweater, blue jeans, and white shoes. Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
