UPDATE: Two youths charged after liquor store break-in

UPDATE: Two youths are now facing multiple charges in connection with this morning’s liquor store break-in. They were found in a vehicle believed to be stolen in a school parking lot shortly after the incident and were taken into custody. Among their offences are break and enter and possession of stolen property over $5,000, but their names can’t be released due to their ages. No one was hurt in the break-in, and the cost of damage has not yet been determined.

RCMP are investigating a break in to a liquor store in Grande Prairie early this morning.

Police were called to the store on 68 Ave and Kateri Drive around 4 this morning, where they found extensive damage to the store after a vehicle was used to smash in the front windows.

Police are still looking into exactly what was taken, but a man has been taken into custody and charges are pending.
