UPDATE: Search continues for missing toddler

UPDATE #2: There was still no sign of the missing toddler at the end of the day Saturday. RCMP say the search lasted all day with boats, ATVs and a helicopter on top of people on foot.

Search efforts were suspended at 11 p.m. Saturday and will start back up again at 7 a.m. Sunday. Police and search and rescue members will remain at the Canfor Bridge overnight.

The public is still asked to stay away to allow emergency services to focus on the search.

UPDATE: The search for the missing child was suspended at 11 p.m. Friday night but RCMP and TSAR members stayed on the scene overnight. Efforts continue Saturday and police say all available resources have been deployed.

Emergency services are currently looking for a missing two year old boy at the Canfor Bridge. Police say the boy was with his family at the Wapiti River when he disappeared.

RCMP, STARS Air Ambulance and Grande Prairie Technical Search and Rescue are currently on the scene. The public has been asked to stay away from the area to allow emergency services to focus on the search.
