Alberta Transportation clearing debris from Highway 2

Provincial road crews will be on the Dunvegan Hill Thursday cleaning up debris that has been falling on the road over the past couple of weeks. The speed limit on Highway 2 was reduced to 50 kilometres an hour Wednesday afternoon, and the road itself will be fully closed for about 30 minutes Thursday morning.

Alberta Transportation says it will be using seismic equipment to remove the material. It’s supposed to stop more from falling on the highway as well.

The work is supposed to take less than a day to finish. Traffic control will be in place.
