Road work in Richmond Industrial Park is set to start Wednesday. Crews from the City of Grande Prairie will be working on 97 Avenue from 112 Street to 116 Street and on 112 Street from 97 Avenue to 100 Avenue through to August.
The construction includes removing the current asphalt in order to rebuild the gravel base with a new asphalt pavements surface. Workers will also be removing concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks, and replacing them.
There will also be new concrete curbs installed on one side of the road on both 97 Avenue and 112 Street. Storm sewer repairs will also be done.
The city says drivers in the area should expect delays, as traffic will be down to one lane around crews with the speed limit dropping to 30 kilometres an hour. Alternate routes should be taken.
