Convenience store targeted by armed robber

Grande Prairie RCMP are investigating an armed robbery at a local convenience store. Police say around 8 p.m. on June 20, a man with a weapon demanded money from the shop on 68 Avenue and Pinnacle Street.

No one was hurt, and the suspect ran away north of the store and got away in a gold-coloured four-door sedan. RCMP haven’t said whether he made off with any cash or what kind of weapon he had on him.

The suspect is described as wearing a black work vest with reflective material, as well as dark pants, sunglasses, and a hat. Mounties are still investigating and ask anyone with information to contact the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
