Intersection closure to affect transit routes

Construction near 214 Place over the next couple of weeks will also mean changes for transit users. The intersection of 102 Street and 100 Avenue will be closed to north and south traffic as of 7 a.m. Sunday and a full closure is expected early next week for at least 14 days.

Starting Sunday, Route 2 on its way to the Prairie Mall will leave the Town Centre Mall bus hub, head north on 99 Street, turn left to go west on 101 Avenue, and then turn right to go north on 101 Street. Leaving the Prairie Mall after stop #270, Route 2 will go south on 102 Street, turn left to go east on 102 Avenue, turn right to go south on 100 Street, then turn left to go east on 99 Avenue.

Bus stops #200, #274 and M3 will be closed during construction. The detours will be in place for roughly 16 days.

Details on how Route 4 will be affected should be released Monday.
