Impaired driving charges laid against Grande Prairie woman after fatal collision

A woman from Grande Prairie is facing charges stemming from her involvement in a fatal accident in Mackenzie County Saturday.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., Fort Vermilion RCMP says the pickup truck she was driving left the road and rolled along Highway 88.

The collision occurred on a straight, paved section of the road while it was raining, and alcohol was a factor.

Two males and one female were taken to hospital, and one of the men later succumbed to his injuries.
