RCMP investigating “violent” home invasion

RCMP say one person was sent to hospital with a gunshot wound Saturday night. They were injured in what RCMP are calling a “violent” home invasion on the Horse Lake First Nation.

Police got a call just after midnight about a shot being fired and once on scene they learned an injured man had already been taken to an area hospital. According to RCMP the victim is expected to survive.

RCMP say they believe three masked suspects entered the home and then fled the scene. They also believe that the attack was targeted.

Forensic teams and RCMP Grande Prairie members have been assisting with the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP.
