Search and rescue mission underway in BC Peace

RCMP in Tumbler Ridge say they are searching for a missing Dawson Creek man.

They were called about the missing man just after 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police say they were told the 29 year-old was camping with friends who believe he may have gone into the river near the Kinuseo Falls.

A Search and Rescue team was called to the scene. RCMP say they believe some of his belongings may have been found during their search but there was no sign of the missing man.

A search is continuing Monday. RCMP say “multiple trained personal” are on site. That includes jet boats that will search the river along with other RCMP members and Police Dog Services.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP.
