This year’s Municipal Government day will celebrate 60 years of the City of Grande Prairie.
The annual event celebrates the city and its employees. Different departments, equipment and exhibits will be on location at Revolution Place on Tuesday. City Council members and city employees are staffing the grill for the free community barbecue from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
The whole family is welcome. There will be bouncy castles, face painting and more. There is also a youth art contest that lets kids imagine what Grande Prairie might look like 60 years from now.
The event is free to attend. Parking will be available in the south lot of Revolution Place and transit will be free from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
