Grande Prairie RCMP cracks down on impaired drivers

Three immediate roadside suspensions were issued by Grande Prairie RCMP last month, along with eight 24 hour suspensions.

Their focus for August was cracking down on impaired drivers, as the offence is the leading cause of criminal death in Canada.

Four new drivers were caught under the Alberta Zero Alcohol Tolerance program, along with another eight for impaired driving and two for dangerous driving.

Police officers are out day and night looking for drunk drivers, but you can help.
