Shot fired during armed robbery in Rycroft

RCMP are looking for information after an early morning armed robbery in Rycroft.

Around 2:00 a.m. Friday RCMP say two suspects, one male and one female, walked into a gas station in the area. The female was armed with a long barrel shot gun according to RCMP and they say she held the weapon while the male took an unknown amount of cash.

RCMP also say the gun was fired and the gas station employee was shot in the leg. They are said to be recovering in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP say they left the scene in a late model Ford F-150, similar to the one pictured below. The suspect vehicle had a chrome grill and bumper.

RCMP say the suspects are considered armed and dangerous and ask people not to approach.

Suspect #1 is described as a white male in his early to mid 20’s with dark, short hair. At the time he was wearing a black t-shirt and dark jeans with dark sneakers with white trim.

The female suspect is descirbed as white, also early to mid 20’s with darker blonde hair that was in a pony tail at the time. She was seen wearing a pink hoodie, dark coloured sweat pants with white lettering and grey sneakers with green trim.

Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or CrimeStoppers. RCMP ask anyone who may spot the suspects to dial 911.
