Sexsmith ready to celebrate Chautauqua Day

The annual Chautauqua Day goes this weekend in the Town of Sexsmith. This is the 31st year for the annual fair, which is put on as a way to bring residents together to meet their neighbours and have fun.

This year’s festival will start Saturday with a pancake breakfast at the Civic Centre from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by the parade around town from 12 to 1 p.m. The rest of the day will include food, rides, and activities spread across the town, including along Main Street, the Civic Centre, train station, gazebo, fire hall, and airstrip flying field from 1 to 4 p.m.

Chautauqua Day has partnered with the Peace Country Noize for Toyz group, which will be collecting donations for the Sexsmith and Area Food Bank. They can be found by the liquor store on Main Street.
