City working to relieve congested intersection just off Bypass

The city will begin installing medians in the area of 102 Street and 117 Avenue Wednesday. They will eliminate left turn options in the intersection.

The work stems from a traffic study done in the area in 2014. The city says the study revealed congestion at the intersection and this will allow the road to handle current and future traffic volumes.

Some upgrades to lights were completed last year at 105 Street and 116 Avenue. The area is located just off the Bypass near Mr. Mikes and the Northridge Business Park.
