Wembley tightens water restrictions

The water restrictions in place for the Town of Wembley have gotten more stringent. The town said Wednesday that the extreme dry weather has led to the need for level three water restrictions.

That means all outdoor water use is prohibited, which includes washing cars, sidewalks, building exteriors and lawns. The only exception is for flower beds and vegetable gardens, which can be washed by hand at any time using a watering can or a hose with a nozzle and a trigger shut off.

Level one water restrictions were first brought in on May 14th. At that time, residents were asked to only water on specific days of the week during limited times.
