Some spots are still open for the 42nd Annual Archie Harvey Memorial Golf Tournament happening next week.
The tournament was started in honour of an RCMP officer who was slain in the line of duty.
Jim Hendry, chair of the organizing committee, says all the proceeds from the tournament go right back into the community.
“We have two bursaries at the Grande Prairie Regional College that we sponsor, and then we also sponsor other organizations, such as Victim’s Assistance, Kidsport, and Slain Peace Officer’s Fund, to name a few.”
The tournament will be at the Dunes Golf Club next Thursday. Registration is $120, and includes a breakfast buffet, a day of golfing, and a dinner banquet.
Last year’s tournament raised more thatn $5000.
