Two more road construction projects get started in Grande Prairie this week. 132nd Avenue between 100 Street and Arbour Hills Boulevard went down in lanes and to a speed limit of 30 kilometres an hour Monday.
Wapiti Gravel Suppliers is installing concrete curbs, gutters, and medians, as well as finishing paving and line painting. The work started last summer, and is expected to be done by the middle of June.
Starting Tuesday, 100 Avenue between 105 Street and 108 Street will be down to one lane and 30 kilometres an hour. Wapiti Gravel will be replacing some of the concrete curb gutters and sidewalks.
They will also be doing minor repairs to the storm sewers, paving asphalt, and replacing markings. The major work will be limited to 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with concrete work between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. It should be done by June 30th.
