A man with several outstanding warrants has been arrested in Grande Prairie. RCMP say they were patrolling in the area of 98 Avenue and 94 Street around 4:30 a.m. on May 8th when they came across a vehicle that had been reported as suspicious.

It was pulled over, and officers discovered the driver was wanted on 12 outstanding warrant. Further search of the vehicle reportedly turned up two guns and ammunition, as well as an unspecified amount of cocaine and meth.

The 25 year old Grande Prairie man is now facing 17 criminal offences. They are largely firearms-related, along with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of failing to comply with conditions.
