A Grande Prairie man is facing charges after a shooting incident Saturday morning. RCMP were called to the parking lot of the Silver Crest Lodge around 7:30 a.m. having heard about a man with a gun.

Officers say the suspect was combative as they tried to take him into custody. He didn’t have any guns on him at the time.

Mounties are now trying to find the people who were inside the pictured vehicle. It’s believed to be a Dodge Nitro with damage to its rear and driver side windows.

An investigation into the series of events continues. RCMP have thanked the public for their tips.
