The County of Grande Prairie has issued a fire advisory due to warm and dry conditions. Residents with existing burn permits are asked not to burn, and no new permits will be issued.
The towns of Beaverlodge Sexsmith and Wembley and the Village of Hythe are covered under the advisory. One is also in place for the Grande Prairie Forest Area. The wildfire hazard in the region is high.
