The city wants to expand the bike park at South Bear Creek park and want to hear from the people that might use it. They will host a public information session Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Teresa Sargent Hall in the Montrose Cultural Centre.

Cycling enthusiast Jay Hoots and NAK Design Strategies will also be a part of the session. They will be talking more about the upcoming progressive bike skills park. A preliminary concept design of the bike park will also be presented. The public will have an opportunity to view the presentation, provide feedback and ask questions.

The city says the park is a designated area for cyclists of all levels to develop their mountain biking skills. Different technical features that build a rider’s skill level and competencies.

Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2018.
