MD of Greenview flooding alert cancelled

The information alert issued for overland flooding in the MD of Greenview on April 23rd has been cancelled. The municipal district says the flooding risk from high stream flow has gone down.

There are still 17 roads closed in the region, and 34 hazardous areas that are being monitored. Many are already being fixed and it’s expected most road repairs will be done in one or two weeks.

Some have been seriously damaged and will have long term repairs scheduled for the 2018 construction season. New sinkholes have also started to appear as the ground settles. Any concerns can be called in to 780-524-7602.
