Saddle Hills County hoping modular homes spur development in Woking

Saddle Hills County is hoping to drum up some interest in the Hamlet of Woking by collaborating with Jandel Homes.

The company will be building ready to move homes for four lots open on the south side.

County Reeve Alvin Hubert says they partnered up with the model home builder to try and enhance the neighbourhood.

“There hasn’t been a bunch of new homes happening in Woking and Saddle Hills County wants to see Woking and thereby the whole county succeed, so we’ve decided to start this and we hope that a developer will jump on board and somewhere along the road take off for us.”

The lots will be complete with landscaping and decks, and the hamlet has garbage pick up.

The homes will be offered in the low $200,000 range.

The first one should be ready by this fall, with the first phase of residential development taking an expected three years.
