Pet portraits help out local animal shelter

Local animal lovers can help out the Grande Prairie and District SPCA this month, just by getting some professional photography done with their pets.

For the month of August, Create A Portrait is donating part of the proceeds from their pet portraits to the SPCA.

Fund Development Coordinator Tracey Dawdy says pet portraits are often quite meaningful to a lot of people.

“We definitely want to encourage people, whether they have a cat, or a dog, or anything, to get down there or call Create A Portrait. It’s a wonderful thing to have your photos taken with your pet. Those memories last forever.”

The SPCA is also hosting an adoption event and barbecue at Create a Portrait this Saturday from 11-3.
