UPDATE: GPREP says Muskoseepi Park has been evacuated and the main threat is under control. However, many paths are under water and creek banks will be extremely unstable.
The park will stay closed until water levels go down. Bridges, paths, creek banks, and other park infrastructure are being assessed.
People in the Muskoseepi Park and Bear Creek Trails areas are being told to evacuate. The Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership says there is potential for flash flooding in the Bear Creek corridor.
A critical alert has been issued due to increased water levels in the Bear Creek corridor. Barricades have been put up at all park entrances.
GPREP says at this point no properties have been damaged.
