Grand Marshall Inn held up by armed robber

An armed robber held up the Grand Marshall Inn in Hythe early Tuesday morning. Beaverlodge RCMP say they were called to the hotel just before 1:15 a.m. after a man reportedly pointed bear spray at the staff and demanded they give him cash from the register.

The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money and no injuries have been reported. Police say they are looking for a white man who is 5’6″ with a slim build. He had dark hair with blonde highlights and was wearing a red sweatshirt and a red bandana covering his face.

Anyone with information that could help mounties investigate is asked to contact Beaverlodge RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
