Regional partners looking for input on community handibus needs

Attempts to improve regional transit service are underway and handibus users are being asked to weigh in. The city and county of Grande Prairie along with the towns of Wembley, Beaverlodge and Sexsmith and the village of Hythe are all working together to look at providing a regional service.

The Regional Handibus Survey is looking for details about potential passenger usage. That includes how often they use any current services that are offered, how often they would ideally use the service as well as how they would use the service.

Walt Consulting group has been hired by the municipalities to do the research. They expect to present their findings to the councils involved in June.

The handibus survey closes on Wednesday.
