A stabbing at a local hotel has landed a Manning man in police custody. RCMP were called to the north west part of Grande Prairie around 7:50 a.m. Sunday, where EMS were treating a man with a stab wound.
Police say they were able to quickly identify a suspect and arrested the 47 year man without incident. The victim is also from the Manning area and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The suspect has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He remains in custody after a bail hearing and will next appear in court on Wednesday.
