Grande Prairie’s own Kirk Sutherland claimed his first career World Chuckwagon Championship title in Rocky Mountain House over the weekend.
In the final four of the battle of the rockies, Sutherland was up against defending champ Mike Vigen, Doug Irvine, and Luke Tournier.
Sutherland finished the season with a score of 1314.5, 63 points ahead of second place Kurt Bensmiller.
The Outrider Championship title this year went to Chance Flad of Hughenden Alberta.
