Maternity Care Consumers of Alberta is hoping to improve delivery and post-natal care for moms around the province.
The organization has spent the summer holding focus meetings in various rural communities, collecting feedback.
Doctor Lolly de Jonge says the organization will review their findings and recommendations later this fall, before deciding exactly how to move forward with the information.
“What we’d like to do is to go back out to different organizations and people in the province. We’d love to have an audience with the health care minister, we want to talk to the professional associations for primary care givers and health care providers, and share with them what we found.”
The organization still has a meeting left next week in Peace River. It will be held on August 27 at the Municipal library from 6 to 7:30.
