Mark Sutherland brought in top dollars at the 2018 Stompede tarp auction. Air Canada placed the winning bid of $11,000 for Sutherland’s chuckwagon tarp.
There was a handful of drivers just behind Sutherland bringing in $10,000 each. That included Cody Ridsdale, Gary Gorst, Jason Glass, Kurt Bensmiller and Troy Dorchester.
This year’s auction brought in $240,700 in total for all 36 drivers. $80,000 above what was raised in 2017.
Last year’s Stompede Champion Obrey Motowylo will return to defend his title. H & E Oil Field Services paid $8,000 for the tarp on his wagon.
