The leader of the federal Libertarian Party is in Grande Prairie today. Tim Moen will be hosting a Pints & Politics event to meet with fellow Libertarians.
On Twitter, he said the discussion would revolve around liberty in Canada, and could include rural crime, property rights, carbon tax, and the opioid epidemic. He adds that previous events in Edmonton and Calgary have fielded concerns about rural self-defence.
The Libertarian Party ran a candidate in the Grande Prairie – Mackenzie riding in the 2015 federal election. Thursday night’s event starts at 7:30 at Maddhatters.
