Storm trade captain Sasha Larocque's playing rights

The Grande Prairie Storm have traded away the playing rights of their captain to the Drumheller Dragons.

In exchange for Sasha Larocque, the Storm are getting the playing rights of goaltender Adam Beukeboom.

Coach Kevin Higo says Larocque had made it clear he would be going to the USHL’s Dubuque Iowa Fighting Saints this year, so it was a good opportunity to improve the team.

Beukeboom will be trying out for the Prince George Cougars, and if he doesn’t make it he’ll head back to the AJHL.

The Storm’s training camp runs from August 18th to 21st next week.
