The Wapiti Corridor Planning Society is requesting $300,000 from the city for trail expansion south of Grande Prairie.
Over the next four years, the organization wants to expand and enhance the trail system from South Bear Creek the Aquatera Landfill entrance off of Range Road 61.
The County of Grande Prairie would be a partner in the project as well.
Council will consider the request later this fall during budget deliberations.
