UPDATE: Fox Creek RCMP advise that all lanes of Highway 43 have since re-opened to traffic.
The warm days and cold nights have made highways around Grande Prairie and the area slick. Foggy conditions have also added to the poor conditions. RCMP are at the scene of a multi-vehicle pile-up between Fox Creek and Whitecourt. The crash is in the area of Two Creeks about 40km west of Whitecourt.
RCMP say travel on Highway 43 is not recommended and ask drivers to make alternate plans. They say the westbound lanes are expected to be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
RCMP say no serious injuries were reported.
