Storm swept by Saints in semi-final

The Grande Prairie Storm have been swept from the AJHL playoffs. They fell on home ice 8-0 Tuesday night to the Spruce Grove Saints in game four of the North Division semi-final. The Storm scored only two goals this series compared to 28 for the Saints.

This was the first time since 2010 that they advanced to the second round of the playoffs. The team will finish the season in the fourth spot the AJHL North Division standings.

Next season rookie of the year Zach Okawbe is expected to return to the Storm. He finished the season with 22 goals and 57 points.

The winner of Fort McMurray Oil Barons versus Whitecourt Wolverines series will play the Saints for the championship.
