Frost heaves between Clairmont and Bezanson getting repaved

Good news for drivers on Highway 43.

Starting today, the westbound lanes from Bezanson to where it meets Highway 2 are getting repaved to repair frost heave damage.

This may mean minor traffic delays for anyone heading towards Clairmont, as the highway will be reduced to one lane, with a 50 km/h speed limit around construction.

Work should be done by mid-October.

The $8.5 million project is expected to mean smoother travel in that area, where frost heaves are a bigger problem due to local soil conditions.
