Peace River search turns up cocaine, stolen credit cards

Stolen credit cards and cheques are reportedly among the haul from a recent search warrant in Peace River. RCMP went through an apartment on Friday, March 9th, also turning up an unspecified amount of cocaine, multiple guns including a sawed off shotgun, more than $1,000 of what’s suspected to be proceeds of crime, and other stolen property.

The investigation led to the arrest of 37 year old David John Testawich and 29 year old Charmaine Ominayak of Peace River. Both are facing several charges related to the possession of drugs, weapons, stolen credit cards and property obtained by crime.

Testawich had his first court appearance set for Monday in Peace River and Ominayak is scheduled to appear on April 9th. Police have thanked the public for their help in the investigation and encourage residents to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods.
