Attempted murder charges laid after stabbing

Two people have been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Grande Prairie. RCMP were called to the area of 98 Street and 100 Avenue around 6 p.m. Tuesday night.

EMS was already on scene helping a man who had been stabbed multiple times. He was taken to hospital with injuries that are believed to not be life threatening.

The altercation that reportedly led up to the assault was caught on video surveillance and police say they were able to identify the suspects quickly. The two were found that night and arrested without incident.

28 year old Dylan Gogan from the Calgary area and 28 year old Stephanie Plamondon of Grande Prairie are both charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault. Gogan is also facing a charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Both remain in custody with a court date set for March 12th.
