A crash in the B.C. Peace Sunday afternoon has claimed the life of a man from Grande Prairie. The crash happened on Highway 97 around 4:45 p.m. at the top of the South Taylor Hill.
RCMP say the deceased was driving a pickup truck the cross the centre line into the path of a semi truck. The 29 year old was pronounced dead at the scene, but his identity has not been released.
An investigation into the crash continues, but Dawson Creek RCMP say it’s suspected distracted driving may have played a role. Anyone who may be a witness who hasn’t yet spoken to police is asked to contact the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
