County working longer hours to clear blown snow

Winds gusting more than 60 kilometres an hour overnight have caused poor road conditions around the Grande Prairie region. To deal with drifting and blown snow, the County of Grande Prairie has hired extra equipment and will have snow removal crews working extended hours.

The County has thanked residents and drivers for their patience as snow and ice is cleared from roads. Anyone facing an emergency with a road blown in is told to call 9-1-1.
