Two dead in Forestry Trunk Road crash

Grande Prairie RCMP have confirmed two people died in a crash on the Forestry Trunk Road Thursday. A truck driving south on the road hit an eastbound logging truck at the intersection with the Canfor Road some time before 12:45 p.m.

The 67 year old man driving the truck and a 27 year old male passenger were declared dead at the scene. Both were from Edmonton.

A woman from Mundare, east of Edmonton, was seriously injured in the crash and was taken to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance. The driver of the logging truck wasn’t physically hurt.

Police are still investigating the fatal crash, and say they are looking at all possible factors.
