Grande Prairie man seriously injured after falling from a moving vehicle

A Grande Prairie man is in hospital after falling out of a vehicle yesterday evening.

Police were called to the Wapiti River off Highway 40, near the bridge, shortly after 8 pm last night, where a 20 year old man had reportedly fallen from the box of a truck.

The man was taken to hospital by STARS with serious injuries, and was later transferred to hospital in Edmonton.

Police are still investigating the incident.

The driver of the vehicle was not impaired at the time of the accident, but they believe alcohol still played a role.
